With an average temperature of 59.3 degrees F in the winter to 78.5 degrees F in the summer, fun and sun are plentiful in the Daytona area. Daytona itself is split in two by the Halifax River lagoon and rests on the Atlantic Ocean hence a popular destination for boaters and fishermen. It is also one of the few places in the world where you can drive your car on the beach.
